Carlisha Hood and her 14-year-old son Chicago.Carlisha Hood, a mother from Chicago, and her 14-year-old son have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that resulted in the death of a man. Hood is facing charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and murder, while her son is facing felony murder charges.

The incident took place on a Sunday, a little after 11 p.m., at a Maxwell Street Express located on the 11600 block of South Halsted Street. According to reports, Hood entered the store, and shortly afterward, a 32-year-old man entered as well. An argument ensued between the man and Hood.

During the altercation, Hood allegedly texted and signaled to her son to join her in the store. The situation escalated when the man began physically assaulting Hood, punching her multiple times in the head. It is reported that witnesses present at the scene were laughing and encouraging the incident.

At this point, Hood's son entered the store, and according to court documents and video surveillance, he proceeded to shoot the man multiple times. The man, after being wounded, managed to exit the store and fled to the parking lot. However, Hood allegedly instructed her son to chase after him and shoot him again.

Following his mother's instructions, the 14-year-old boy pursued the man and shot him multiple times in the back. Tragically, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The surveillance footage reportedly captures the entire incident, including Hood getting out of her blue Lincoln Nautilus, placing her order, and her son pulling out a gun inside the restaurant's doorway.

It is also alleged that Hood tried to instruct her son to shoot one of the witnesses who was allegedly laughing during the altercation. A struggle reportedly ensued between Hood and her son over the gun, with Hood attempting to take it from him, but the son refused. Eventually, they left the scene in their car.

Hood and her son fled the area but turned themselves in to the authorities several days later, on Wednesday, June 21. Hood, during a court hearing, was ordered to be held on a $3 million bail pending a court appearance scheduled for July 12. Her son appeared in Juvenile Court and was ordered to be held without bail. In addition to the murder charges, the son is also facing charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.
